HEY, HI, IT'S ME, I'M SHAYNA!

MY STORY STARTED HERE

Hello everyone! Let's begin again. What was here before was a bit of a façade I thought I needed for people to like me and to get people to book with me when I first started. It wasn't all a lie per say, just not REALLY me. I've reached that point in my life where I am happy and confident with who I am; I no longer feel the need to be someone I'm not.

HERE'S THE REAL STORY

I've been a Wichita local since 2006. My upbringing was not cupcakes and rainbows, it was lonely, full of tears, and being let down again and again. And again. I did have people there for me, but it wasn't who I wanted to be there or who should have been there. I did well in school, defied all odds, yada yada ya... Every college major I tried, I didn't like. Every job I did, I quit. I didn't like any of it, until my most important job.....MOM! If you know , you know. There are no words, it just changes something in you, just like it did me. Here started my journey as a stay at home mom, and lets be real, we couldn't afford daycare. Those days with my kids, all the little memories, never missing a thing are priceless. Now that they are a little older, I remember less.....and less....and I hate it. I picked up a camera...sold it.. and picked up a new one a few years later...it clicked. I've been chugging along ever since. Slowly....but surely. Being able to freeze time from the last days of your senior year, the first days of your true love, the tearful vows at your wedding, the expansion of your family, I'm here for it! Every. Single. Moment. My heart is in this 10000%. I'm passionate and full of ideas for the future. I am still perfecting my craft, but I am so happy with where I am at and the people I have met so far. I have been able to be apart of so many crucial moments and memories in so many lives since I picked up a camera. Being there for first breaths down to the last at times; I wouldn't change a single moment whether it was laughter or tears. I hope to capture irreplaceable moments for you and your families until my hands give out.

MY PHOTOGRAPHY STYLE

Lifestyle photography is the best way to describe what I do. I love capturing the raw emotion during a session. Gone are the days of trying to make your children be something other than what they are or fake smiles from a spouse. I start each session with what I refer to as "send to grandma" poses; good ole' traditional photo. After that, I strive to provide images in the most authentic way with fun and engaging prompts, quality images, and pure happiness whether it's a senior session, family, or wedding.
